What a difference a week makes.

This time last week we were being thrashed by Storm Imogen. She blew in with a mighty and wet introduction and left with flooded fields and roads throughout the Sever Valley here in north Powys.

Today, it’s still, calm and very cold. It really is one extreme to another in our current weather.

While I was out and about I managed some very quick filming after having to take a diversion on the roads I now well but didn’t think were going to be flooded.

One thing I still cannot believe is the number of people who take risks to drive through floods.

Even if it doesn’t look deep, a flood can still be dangerous. In the short film you will see a Tesco van and a Volvo care caught out in a flood along the road outside the Mid Wales Airport near Welshpool, Powys.

The Volvo driver and passenger had to be freed by firefighters from the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service the night before.

Travelling to Sitges, Spain

Over recent days we’ve been in Sitges, Catalonia, Spain. The trip was to see friends, although as usual I had to take some work with me. I’ll be posting something over the next day about this amazing coastal destination close to Barcelona.

Needless to say, there were no floods and certainly no frost around.
